Ours goes crazy and never shows anything correctly no numbers or letters just jumbled mess.

mine does that every once in a while, but if I push in on it right underneath the display then it will straighten up and act normal....you may want to pull it out and check the connections on the back

If you want a fool proof solution, go on ebay an get a good replacement, they're always there, and are cheap. nuff said
