Hi all

Not posted for a while as my car has been running great

To put it simply i've had a bit of a scrap with a lad and he has come down to my house at 5am and smashed my windscreen, rear window and one of the side rear windows.

How much is this gonna cost me?

Revenge will be sweet...

I always think it's worth payign that little extra for fully comp. Just incase. Especially as in the UK, if you have a crash and it's not your fault, you can pretty much get a hire car, like for like. so as BMW driver you get a BMW or similar prestige car, or a smaller engined pretige car or a similar sized engine normal car if it is over 6 years old. It's a life style choice, is the reason if your asked. I used to work for a credit hire organisation. basically thye pay for the hire car, you put your deposit down and they get the money back from the other insurers.

£365 is not that bad.

I don't know if smashing his car up, served to do anything but relieve some of your anger and p155 him off.

I'm only 17 mate so i couldn't afford fully comp. Just a shame i didn't buy the window cover that elephant offer for the extra £15 a month.

Smashing his corsa up probably hasn't done much good but it makes me a bit less angry lol

that's what you get for being a flash younster :D

Saying that though, £15 a month, you're prob best off chancing it. £180 for the year for that plus your excess, and your not saving too much.

You, def sure it was this guy.

I've left no prints and did it in a scary movie mask.. original :P

Also, does putting sugar in a fuel tank actually kill the car?

Bleach is much more effective.

Pete, on the rear spoiler of your new M there is a decal that says BMW MOTORSPORT.
I've spent the last week trying to track the part down and all that I can manage to get here a decal that is the same dimensions as yours but it's grey with only the ///M logo on it.
All I can figure is that it is no longer available in the US. If you could remember to ask about that for me next time you're at your local dealer I would greatly appreciate any info you could get.
That thing is too cool to pass up.

It is the brake light delete mod mate

No idea where it came from

Can post more pics if you like

(sorry to hijack your thread mate)

As for the sugar question...just think what happens to sugar when you heat it up ad that will answer your question!!

Well at least you got it all sorted.

You should post some pics of the guy's corsa and your car damaged. That way we can rate who won.

323 in the UK - My insurance is 2700 3rd party im 18 (got it when i was 17) and its only a 316!

How much you pay mr criminal damage?

Danstrolie

I was wondering the same about his insurance. Im 19 with a year's (nearly 2) no claim driving and my 316i fully comp is 1400. I'd hate to think what anything bigger would cost me. ardsam, have you tried Quinn direct? it may be a little cheaper for you.

he could well be on his ma and pa's insurance. the insurance would cost more than the car. im paying 2400 on a 316 fully comp and that was when i was 19. turned 20 earlier this month, so need to see how much it is now

That's crazy, who are you with? I'm actually insured from Northern Ireland which is the highest premium in the UK because of people blowing up cars and stuff. I'm gona re-register it to scotland when I get back there and it should drop a little.
Either something is wrong with my policy or i'm just lucky. No one can beat Quinn for young males but apparently they can be dicks at times when it comes to paying (I had to say that or it would look like i was advertising them).

It's on a seperate policy with elephant in my dads name.

Costs £1500 and he's got 3 points. Would be £1200 without them.

Yeah Man I'm with Quinn - Just turned 18 so does it go down now!?

TBH I am sick of all my wages going on the insurance of a 1.6l car ha ha

I love it though couldn't sell it, Fancy getting a comvertible e36 soon though but moneys etc... I'll see....

Cheers for your concerns though guys!

Could go down, have you claimed? Give them a call and say this "Yo bitches, i'm 18, sort it out" See what happens :)

My plan is to get an e36 M3 when I hit 21 or so. As long as the fuel prices go down before then. Off topic question but did you have fogs as standard on your 316i? Im guessing that's yours in the sig? Just trying to get a set of fogs for mine but dont know where to get wiring etc.

Guys,
I'm 28, but when I insured my first car in my name I was told by a friend who works in insurance to put a female driver on the policy. Apparently it takes you out of what they classify as boy-racer category and makes your insurance cheaper. Although I'd never let my mother drive my car she's been on every policy and it still makes it cheaper.

Also try elephant or Admiral for the cheapest young male insurance.
I've a 320i and paying £620 with 4 points and live in what they classify as a bad postcode.

hope this helps:thumbup:
