I normally frequent the E30 section but my friend is having trouble with his E36 and I thought I could help. Apparently his 318is (manual) is "kicking" out of first gear. :mad: When he engages the clutch and gas pedal in first it pops right back into neutral. He is now starting the car in second and is really worried about his trans. So what would be your opinion on what's wrong? I'm thinking that he may need to replace the actual first gear but I'm not sure. :dunno:
