I was on DDMTuning website and I was about to order some headlights and I see that there are two different type of angel eyes, Orion and Chromium. So now I'm undecided cause the Orion cost 20 dollars more than Chromium(Are they better quality.) I have been looking at pictures I see that Chromiums looks brighter that Orion, however the Orion looks like to audi eyebrow lights(which look kinda cool) I really can't make up my mind :( Please help me come to a decision...... Im ordering HID AS WELL 8000K.... O yeah I'm thinking about going 55w, do you guys think that would be too bright?
The Orions are LED. I beleive there are 30 of them. I personally don't like them because if you look closely, you can see each individual LED. I went with the Chromiums since the color is uniform and looks more stock.
Don't go 8000k. It's going to be way too blue/purple. Keep it white with something in the 5-6k range. Also, I see no need for the 55w, 35w are plenty bright and are what people have been using for years.

No, no, and no. Lol.
Orions look like trash. I love the way the Chromiums look, go for them.
No on the 8kK. You get less usable light. Go 5500-6000K.
I like the 55W. 35W would be better than halogen, but it's not much more, so go for the 55 ;)

So, just wondering, how can I tell if I have the Euro Style Headlights or the US Spec ones? And if I do have the US Spec ones is there a way to install angel eyes?

US Spec have dual reflectors and plastic lenses. Euro spec has glass lenses, projector lowbeams, and reflector highs.
You could technically do some serious DIY work and install on the US spec, but when it's all said and done you'll regret it. You'd have to bake the lenses to open them, do some dremeling and cutting, and you'd still be stuck with plastic lenses and reflector low beams.

E36 DEPO Projector36 Headlights
"An E36 Projector Headlight with built in Angel Eyes. Includes our Plug and Play adaptor for adapting European headlights to US Spec cars. Choose either of our HID options and optional CCFL Angel Eye upgrade"
Would this imply that with US Spec lights, these will basically "bolt on"?

If you have to get an E36, get a 328is or M3. None of this 318i crap you've been talking about.
328is, M3, or stick with the built E30.
End of discussion. Lol. Personally, I think that what you've done with your E30 is pretty kickass, so......

I understand the stock HID's are in the rage of 4000-4500.
Why not go stock?
In this case: 55 or 35W? (given that that range provides wither - more "productive" light)

If you want maximum output is 50W, 55W is an analog ballast and it's not very good.
Stock HID are 4300K, if you go 50W, get the 6000K.

Wouldn't it be too blue?
BTW - why not the stock color temp? (I think it is used by all German cars)

no, the way 50W works is it drives the bulbs to be a lower K.
4300K is the stock temp for all HID regardless of Germany or Brazil or US.

So, you say I can go 4300/35W or 6000K/50W?
I guess I should say what I am looking for: the closer to OEM the better.
Thanks for - literally - the clarification.

why thank you
and yet ive always liked how e36s looked :D lol. dont get me wrong..e30s do have that certain..'look' to them. but to make them aggressive looking..i think it would take a lot more..than an e36. all you need is M3 bumpers..angel eyes..and a few tid bits..and ta da! super sick e36
