Having troubles with the 6 disc changer in our 2000 318i, it keeps dropping out on the passenger side and skips on the slitest of bumps. I have been to see a local car audio installer/dealer and he was unaware of any aftermarket compatiable changers, he did recomend that he send the changer away for a service/clean in which they would re-allign
the laser. Given that the changer is 8 years old and the technology used in it is probably 15 years old there must be an aftermarket changer compatible with the head unit.
