I JUST purchased this car, and now have to relocate from Colorado (where the car is currently) to the East Coast to follow my ex/daughter. Unfortunately there's NO WAY for me to keep it there. Hoping to sell before August 1 (which is when I move).
I did extensive research when bought the car from a friend's father. You can see from the pictures that it's in EXCELLENT condition inside and out. Pretty standard M5 equipment: sound system, sunroof, 6 disk changer, navi, etc.
However, we all know the REAL information is in what you can't see.
Here's some of that information:
The car has ONLY been serviced by certified mechanics, and has 72K miles (only 6K of which have come in the last 2 years).
The following have been upgraded within the last 2K-5K miles (all work done by BMW dealer, and certified BMW specialist in Boulder, CO). Have service invoices for all of this:
NEW CLUTCH (Flywheel and clutch) within last 5K miles (was told it didn't actually need the clutch, but the previous owner WANTED to replace it to get a better "feel") = $3,500
New Windshield: $800
Replaced upper/lower valve cover gasket sets ~$650
New foglights = $325
New rear lower ball joints and sway bar mount = $517
New lines for power steering fluid = $340
Replaced upper/lower oil pan gaskets ~$400
I also have an extra tire/wheel
So that's about $6,500 worth of JUST COMPLETED maintenance. Kelly Blue Book lists the car as $28,775 for excellent condition and $27,205 for good.
Please let me know if you're interested. It's possible that I could drive the car to you if you're located between Colorado and Boston :)
