I was driving around today and came across my first Audi R8 on road. I couldn't get a side shot, but I followed it for awhile as we were both going the same direction. It definately turns heads. I've never seen so many people nearly wreck, fall off the sidewalk, etc.

R8s are a beautiful car. What do they retail in the US for? In Australia $250k plus. Near 1:1 fx too.

Definately a killer looking car. I just don't know if I could drop 100K on an Audi. :dunno:

So how many of you guys been hitting up Mt. Rainier since the weather has been nice? I went there last weekend, very beautiful up there. Lovin the twisties there.
Any other great roads to drive at around here? How about the roads on Mt St Helens?

Eh...don't get me wrong, there are other cars in that price range that might be a better option, but the R8 would still be near the top of my list if I had enough dough to even be looking into cars like that :D

The roads around Mt. St. Helens are fun, and pretty much vacant, but the pavement isn't in good condition in many places, plus its in the middle of nowhere. The problem I have with FS-25 is that it is LONG and I found myself getting tired after a while and wanting some nice straights to just relax.
SR-821, Canyon Road between Ellensburg and Yakima, is a great drive. Follows the Yakima River canyon. You can make it a loop with Mt. Rainier and make a good day out of it
Now that we're totally OT :dunno:
This is from a couple years ago, but summer does indeed bring out the more "unique" cars:

Definately at the top of the list for sure. I'm a big Porschephile...so I can think of alot of 100K Porsches's that I would buy before the Audi. That said, it's still a Damn nice car and always catches my eye.

I was in a Miate going through this section, and I found myself getting motion sick. And I was driving!
I've taken my old bike through there a couple times. I come back and my tires look like cones. Worn out sides and brand new middle section.
