If anyone is in the market to pick up a 3 series, there's roughly a $1200 credit for leasing or purchasing. Might help in negotiations at the stealerships. Hope this helps, definitely helped me shave a few more dollars off my lease payment.

Was actually looking around in the forums for current rebate offers. Nice timing

How long does this last? And in your opinion do you think the dealer will use this to try and keep me from bringing the price of the car down? "oh but your getting the rebate!"

That is always the case. Any car, any dealership, if there's an "incentive" or a "rebate" or a "discount," all you're getting is a lower price without negotiation. They're not going to go much lower than they would without the marketing gimmick.

I got about $300 over invoice--manual 335 coupe, with premium, nav, ipod, sat, seat warmers. this was 2 weeks ago in DC. so....any dealer that says they can't go that low is lying.

Old news.

The dealer sold me the car for about $500 under "invoice". They calculated invoice to be about 6.5% off MSRP. Since the dealer receives $1200 from BMW, I beleive to them it essentially equated to selling the car for $700 over invoice. I'm not sure how long the credit will be available, but I would assume till the end of this month for sure.

Planning on ordering in late July. Is the dealer as willing to work with me on the price of the car im ordering as much as they would if it were on the lot?

I think it varies by location and what kind of relationship you have with the stealership. If we were to order our car with different options, but the same price then I think they said the lease would have been about $15 more a month. For 39 months that's about $600 more then taking the car he had on his lot.

Check Ask a Dealer to be sure, but my best recollection is this offer is slated to end 30 June.

What is this offer? Some kind of lease incentive?

How do we find out about these? Edmunds had nothing. I heard about it a few weeks ago from the dealership when I went for a test drive. Surprised he would have mentioned it.

Sounds like you got a great deal...and you still call them "stealerships" :dunno:

Why would anyone want an automatic transmission simply because of the $1200 offered?

Meh. Catering to badgewhores. I'd take the $1200 credit if it was for, say... Sport Package?

They're actually offering the "credit" on manuals, too, as best as I recall. It's in the Ask a Dealer section, but I'm feeling too lazy to pop over there and check.

I wasn't implying that one should get an automatic because of the credit. Figured it was helpful info for those getting an auto anyway.

I just purchased a car and got the $1,210 Option Credit, Search for that, and these key words: Dealer Incentive, Trunk Money, Rebate.

Finding out about this from the forums, alone paid for all the many hours of research here before I contacted any sales people. Search this and all the other forums, using the above key words, and for your type of car. I know that option credits vary from car to car, with specific time frames (often extended).

Search the other forums for more info about this, but the short version is that this one was offered for one month, several months ago, then extended, and again, and again.

It is called Automatic Transmission credit, and the amount is the same as the cost for a Steptronic, but can be applied to any 335i deal. (Mine was a Steptronic but I had looked at manuals too, and my SA had told me I'd get the discount either way).

Note that any dealer isn't obligated to tell you about these credits, and if you find out about them and ask that they be put in the deal, it is just another point of negotiation. They don't have to give it to you.

I was fortunate enough to find a dealer who would do an Internet+ deal, rather than an MSRP- deal, and when I told my CA about it, he looked it up to confirm, and added the credit to my bottom line without any hesitation. (Note, the amount is deducted AFTER taxes are applied, it's not a pre-tax credit).

When we ordered our 328 a couple weeks ago, the salesman said the step-tronic credit was good until atleast the end of June.

They tried using that as a "discount" on the car until I called them out on it.

Tomorrow is the First of July. Does anyone have any updates on incentives for July?

Also does anyone know if the 3.9% financing still applies?
