While the car was out of my care, some object encountered my driver's side rear bumper. Lost about a cornflake sized piece of paint at the corner and the bumper gap is noticeably larger.

What's involved in closing this gap? Professional? Bumper removal? Unit body damage?

Thanks.

appears you were bumped by another car.

chip should be repairable without removal.

I suspect the rear bumper is similar to the construction of the front one. If so you might be able to just grab it and shove it back in place. there is lots of flex in the skin. if some bracket was bent then its another story, in which case it would have to be removed to change/repair the bracket.

hope it helps.
