Replacement of trim around rear glass???

Hello....

We just bought a '94 318i a month ago. Most of the black rubber trim surrounding the front and rear windshields is very cracked and needs replaced. I have found the trim for a very reasonable price however we are wondering if the windshield has to be removed in order to place the new trim???

Has anyone done this before...

Just wondering if this trim just pops in or does the glass have to be removed?
