Hi all, I am sure some of you have seen my name at this point. Just got my 93 325is a few weeks ago and time to start messing with it.
Right now I have a stock exhaust that is blown to hell. I think it sounds great nice light grumble at idle, light to medium drone at 45 to 65 and real nice at WOT. The one thing I do not want to lose going to a new exhaust is the blurb blurb blurb I get with a nice rev matched down shift, could even be louder. This is a sound I have love from when I was just a kid with a 78 Toyota with a header and glass pack and that was it. ( where talking mid 80's here long be for Honda's and fart cans). I don't mind loud but must be deep not rice like. Budget is 400 to 600. Not afraid of used if the deal is right. O no M-3 exhaust I am sure what I have is louder all ready and not as heavy ( I am not 100% sure but think it all ready has a M-3 muffler.

I bought a magnex full cat back system for my car.
Ain't over loud at idle or low revs, sound really kicks in about 3500 rpm.

Well worth thinking about.

Billyboat, expensive as hell, goofy name, but sounds amazing, loud but not annoying. I've had the same cat back on all three of e36's and love it. Why are UK guys suggesting European company exhausts when shipping will be more than the cost of the exhaust it self?

Because they may be available worldwide for all we know?

Once again the shipping would be more than the cost of the unit itself and converstion of dollars to pounds or euro's or whatever the old world uses.

Hay I don't mind the "over the pond" input. If I find something that sounds right from over there, I can start asking who in the USA has one that sounds like it. Or who knows I might find one used some where and then know to go for it. But Iwill say whith shipping and how weak the dollar is I don't see me getting one from there
thanks for all the help and keep it coming

I have a Stromung as well and have had many in the past (UUC, Borla, etc), and I found the Stromung to be the best of them. Not obnoxiously loud, nor too quiet. I highly recommend it.
