Cracked footrest

Was wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

The footrest on my 2000 528 has cracked. The crack runs vertically. How hard is this to replace/repair?

This happened to my 2000 540 a few months ago but it was still under warranty so I had the dealer replace it.

Yours should still be under warranty also.

Should be real easy...lots of people replace the footrest (some times called the dead pedal) with aftermarket or ///M5 ones. However, try the warranty route.
