Perfect summer day saturday so decided to take the mrs. out for a afternoon date  After stopping for lunch we headed for a state park that has LOTS of twisties. Little did I know how bad she handled in the corners. I did'nt know what to do. This car is made for this and I didn't want to slow down.I made it a point not to cross the center line in the 20-mph corners. Yep we were well over that but everytime I pushed into a left corner she was on my shoulder, right corner up against the door. My only thought was if she had a suspension like the M she'd be planted in that seat for sure!! Guess I'll have to figure this one out on my own :dunno:

You didn't give many details, so I'll take a stab at what I think is wrong. The stock shocks are toast by 40k miles, and tires make a tremendous difference.

We also don't know your driver qualifications ;)

After putting a few TC Kline d/a coil-over suspensions on some M Rdstrs, I bought one for myself. I have never been more impressed with the improvement in both handling, control AND ride comfort. All a drastic improvement over stock. I think I've installed a half-dozen more TCK systems so far this year!

If you think you need heavier swaybars to control the lean (not required with the above setup) be forwarned that a heavier rear bar will bend the tabs on the trailing arms and have the potential to tear the mount off the chassis. I have pictures from several cars to offer proof.

There's no reason your M Rdstr shouldn't make you look like a hero driver, so maybe it's time for some suspension maintenance.

Randy,

I believe he was writing a humorous post about how his wife , not the car handled in the corners.

Only thing is is that she would have been again his shoulder during a right turn, not a left, and the opposite about being against the door, assuming he wasn't driving in the UK or Japan.

lol @ the "hand on dash". A tell-tale sign you're going too fast.

Look at the rear sway bar. Mine became dislodged from one of the mounts and made my car lean like that in the corners. Since "fixing" it, the lean has stopped.

I upgraded my rear sway to and H&R and have had no problems. Put Bilstein's in replacement of the stock set up and the car handles beautifully.
