Filter Housing Part Numbers (Ron?)

OK just to verify, is the euro S52(S50) and us S54 oil filter housing the same part number?

Doing a Euro conversion may be getting cheaper because of the prevelance of S54s...

Looks like it.
After 5/02 the housing ceded to 11 42 7 833 240 from 11 42 1 404 206.
After 5/02 the oil filter changed to 769 for the new housing. The 389 filter used in the older housing doesn't cede to the 769 though. My guess is the new filter goes with the new housing, in other words the 389 and 769 filters are not interchangeable if the parts data is correct.
