Hey Guys, I have an '02 M Coupe and I'd like to replace the current clock with a voltmeter (which I purchased recently from someone on the forum). I've read thru the threads and I think I can access the gauges (with removal of the radio and heater controls), but I can't find any good advice on wiring. Help!.

Can I just hook up the wires coming from the clock, or is it a problem because they are always hot (running)? If I can't use the wires for the clock is there a way to tap into the correct wires, and how? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Jerry

You should be able to re-use some of the wire, ground and dimmed lighting but you will want to find switched hot. You can find switched power at the cell phone connector that is located under the emergency brake boot.
