Hi guys I am a newbie here and a lifelong bimmer enthusiast.
I have a few questions and could use some simple advice on my new purchase.
99 Z3 coupe 2.8 with 53,000 miles.
Questions:
1) I want to replace wheels & tires but would like to stay OEM possibly from a 3 series or ??
What other chassis combos will bolt up with the correct backspacing and or possibly getting a staggered set up? max width and Diameter?
2) Exhaust - I would like to do a nice sounding exhaust that might increase performance.
Any recommendations that wont break the bank? (even a muffler set up like a remus or Borla.)
3) cup holder ideas or what have you folks done?
4) Any specific simple mods to improve HP and or drivability?
Like intake, chip, updates that have proven.
5) I would like to utilize some of your knowledge on items to watch for or replace to keep up with maintanance.
Things to watch for like I have heard my 2.8 has a plastic water pump that goes bye bye easily.
Thanks so much for your time and knowledge
Heath
