My E90 325 runs 225/45R17 front tyres, and 255/40R17 rear. All are Pirelli Euphoria run-flats. Whilst the grip is terrific and the ride acceptable, the tyres tramline very badly and are noisy. (Sounds like a crook wheel bearing noise.) Reading the various posts, it seems Michelins may be the best bet to cure these evils, but in Australia, Michelin do not carry a 255/40R17 run-flat. I am thinking of putting Michelin Primacy run-flats on the front, and just replacing the Pirelli Euphorias on the back with the more Pirelli Euphorias. Has anyone tried this, and would you expect any improvement, or any problems (eg strange beating noises between the different tread patterns, or noticable handling problems?)
