I've been trying to figure out the whole TPMS thing as it relates to my after market wheel investment. I had the wheels for my previous (non TPMS) Z4 M Roadster and now have a TPMS equiped Z4 M Coupe that I want to continue to use the wheels for my winter tires. I have come across a possible solution but I'm a little skeptical about it because I think if it were this simple someone would have posted it here already.

The attachment describes a clamp and banding device that should allow the OEM TPMS sending unit to mount inside the wheel using the valve as an attachment point.

Feed back appreciated...

Why wouldn't you try the sensors in the wheels? There are several stem lenths to adjust how the sensor lays on the barrel. There is also a spring clip to mount the sensor without the stem but it involves drilling a small hole. The thing you are looking at is about as Rube Goldberg as it gets. Looks almost impossible to mount or remove a tire without tearing something up. Do it right! GH

I'd really really like to do it right. According to the folks who sold me the wheels though, the OEM transmitter and valve will NOT work. When I receive my recently ordered OEM TPMS I will confirm that the experts do or do not know of what they speak. As far as the bracket you refer to from GMP Performance is concerned, they no longer can get it apparently.... So, I'm looking at whatever I can, no matter how Rube Goldberg it may be... Appreciate the feedback though Gene as well as your original assistance with GMP..
