I like many other BMW drivers,am a little mental about my car.Im only leasing so I shouldnt worry so much.Im also a bit of a germaphobe, and apparently extra sensitive to smells. In the last few years Ive noticed a weird musky, oily , BO type smell in some grooming products,I personally dont care what someone smells like as long as its not bad body odor,or so much cologne that I gag.But the smell Im talking about is an ingredient in many deodorants and soaps, especially solid speed stick type deodorants.Ive found this smell cant be washed off with soap and water,alcohol,409,windex,and other cleaners, and doesnt fade or dilute with time!I pointed it out to someone, they said the smell reminded them of a leather cleaner smell.Everytime I put the Bimmer in the shop I fear its going to comeback with that smell, first thing I do when I get car back is smell the steering wheel, so far so good!I think the sienfeld episode is based on the same bad smell .If you have never smelled it your lucky .MyX girlfriend said I was nuts. She also didnt appreciate my BMW.Which is partly why she isnt my girlfriend anymore.Let her go out in her beatup, unwashed corolla!!If they dont like BMWs they are probably to young anyway. But young chicks must like M3s?Any Bimmer loving ladies on bimmerfest?Preferred single with M6 and a trust fund,in N california?

This got off to a bad start with the thread title, and was only downhill from there....

OP sounds like a candidate for the full body condom.

Realistically, If you stick some M3 badges around the car and maybe change the shift knob (if you have manual), the odds are that no cute oblivious horny young chick will tell the difference as long as you drive fast and apply great amounts of tire wet on those low pro's!!!

....But young chicks must like M3s?...

My M3 was the conversation-starter between me and the latest girl that I'm currently seeing (This one is 'BG', for those of you that know what I'm talking about). She is 18 and smoking hot. ///:thumbup:

When I posted this I expected to get goofed on.I didnt want it to get mean. Just wanted to bond with other BMW owners who were neurotic about their cars.Im not trolling you.I just found the forum, and love that everybody is as passionate bout their cars as me. Ill refrain from any neurotic post in the future. Peace and drive it like you stole it!!

I think the easiest way to get rid of the foul smell in your car is for you to get out of the driver's seat.
