I agree. I have about the same % highway/freeway as you and my '04 ZHP averages about 23 with an average freeway speed of 74 mph.

2008 335i E93 6mt

Daily commute: 13mi @65, 4mi @50, 3mi stop/go in 45 mph zone
and the reverse to get home.

I get between 27 and 29 mpg indicated (and calculated.)
Depends on whether or not I stop the engine for the 4 minute long
stop light 3 miles from work. I usually just miss the green.:mad:

Better than my 2001, E46 330i Step on same route. 23 to 25 mpg.

Now weekend toolin' around, that's a different number :drive:

Our '06 330 e90 does 27-28 mpg, with about 50% highway driving. Very pleased with that, considering this is without really "trying" to get good mileage.

The '07 335 gets about 19mpg. Only about 25% highway miles there.

My 328i...
I get 30 mpg on I-57 (3 autos per 20 miles? few number of cars and really flat) in IL. City driving, it gets 21 mpg. Last weekend I drove 110 mph on I-57, but my Garmin Nuvi 350 indicated only 103 mph. When I drove 70 mph, the Garmin showed 65 mph. This inaccuracy makes numbers in gas mileage computer and odometer higher.

18 is kinda low, right? I have less than 1000 miles on my car. Still in the breakin period. I plan to have oil change after 1200. Hopefully i will get higher mpg after that.

My lifetime in the 335i is 24.2 with an avg speed of 52.0 over 4300 miles. I do lots of highway driving, put lots of spirited pulls once the highway opens up too :)
