Looking to explore sometime the next few weekends. Would love some tips on where some nice winding, less traveled roads are.

Or, just a cruise with some nice scenery.

How far of a drive would you like?

How familiar are you with the Puget Sound area?

There's a lot of good valley roads from Issaquah to Fall City to Monroe to Granite Falls back down to Snohomish to Woodinville to Redmond.

There's some good driving through the Cascade Loop.

Very twisty roads on the east side of Mt. St. Helens. Even better through the east side of Rainier to get there.

Take a drive out to Pt. Angeles and a side trip up Hurricane Ridge if the weather is good. Continue on 101 and drive along Crescent Lake. Hit up LaPush and go for a short hike to the beach front. Head down to Ocean shores and drive on the sand.

I hit up the roads on Rainier fairly often, I love them. Have not yet been to St. Helens, soon though. Will definately try a drive from Issaquah to Fall City.

The twisties up in Rainier are AWESOME! There's a back highway to Morton on the way back to enumclaw from Rainier that has minimal traffic, while allowing time to let the horses loose.

From HWY 14 near White Salmon WA. take 141 N. to Trout Lake. Have an ice cream cone at Trout Lake. Go E. Little Mtn Rd/ Trout Lake Hwy to Glenwood. Rd becomes Glenwood/ Goldendale Rd. Continue E./SE. At HWY 142 go Right (W.) and buckle up because it get frick'n fun from here. Stop at the Klickitat Tavern for a juicy steak and a breather. From the start of HWY 142 all the way to HWY 14 you are in a deep canyon that follows the river. There are lots of switchbacks and very little traffic. Be careful this road could get you into trouble. Very beautiful and fun drive.
