Hey guys, I know this topic has been discussed a lot, but wanted some new thoughts. Here is my situtation, I have a 2002 330i SP, PP, I have noticed that the rear tires (Conti sports) are wearing considerably after 9000 miles. (For the winter I switched to snows). The fronts seem in good condition and will go another 9000 miles or so. But here is what I am thinking. I checked tire rack and Conti Sports are $133 (rears) Pilot Sports $195 and Pilot Sport A/S $233.
1) I will be moving to Baltimore this summer and am not sure I will need a dedicated snow tire, so I was contemplating the Pilot A/S. It is a lot more and am wondering if the handling is that much different. It might be cheaper in the long run?
2)Should I buy another pair of Conti sports and use winters?
3) Should I buy Pilot Sports and use winters (I have read that Pilot Sports wear even faster than contis.
