I basically have the whole freaking car sitting at my house, no one has money so I've sold very little. PM if you want pictures of what I have.
I replaced it with e36 m3 sedan

Man, those pictures are hard to look at! I definitely feel for you.
But- it looks like your new car is a stunner, so all in all not a totally bad situation.

man for a while i was going to close the page thats so sad ,,
but ur new ride is not bad at alllllll
hard luck mate ...
No the air bag did that damage to the windshield. No injuries only a burn on my and my best friends arms from the air bag. I lost control at 80+mph and walked away and with no tickets so to this day do I thank god, sherriff's officers, and BMW engineers. I waiting on student loans to come in so I can get tail/corner/side lights/front splitters and BMW M POWERED sticker fro the gurney and I'll be done with the car in terms of mod'ing.

AA STAGE II S/C, with m5 clutch and UUC lightweight flywheel with billyboat cat back.... that's the basic list...It definitely goes faster than the speed limit.

Bro, I just got a 98 E36 M3 dakar yellow, the car is good but the display that shows the exterior temp. etc. is out (the led's are not working properly) and some of the buttons are also missing, do you have this part and does it work and how much. thanx

How did you loose control doing 80mph? Seriously.

I'll tell you what, your car took a punch to the face, and still came out with all its teeth(Grills)
Holy thread revival! Motor is sitting in storage begging to for a clean e30. Its easy to lose control on a mountain road in a double apex with bad tires + bad driving technique.
The sedan got new mod's I've yet to take pictures.

A little bit of me just died inside....
Never saw this thread before. My (belated) condolences, E30e. I'm sorry for your loss.

devastating. how bout that sedan though! nice
huh.. the question is.. Did you learn anything?
I learned that air bags will knock off your hat but won't hit my face, I learned that kissing the sherrif's ass will get you no citations, I learned that I can keep whatever I hit, SO I HAVE A MILE MARKER 9 SIGN at my house, and I learned that Turner Motorsport SS brakelines, Slotted Rotors, solid caliper guides, and ceramic pads probably saved my life....
oh yea Mt. Lemmon has dead zone's for cell phones :D
I drive like a sissy now, my insurance threaten to drop me.
There's the sign sitting the corner of my house:

And this is the exact location of my last accident, took a photo of there pretty new sign:

I like the new ride... Glad you are ok. I have lost a lot of friends to accidents, some more minor then what you experienced. Not really sure how old you are or what your situation is, But I used to be pretty reckless, lost my licence twice for reckless driving. Took me actually flipping a vehicle over and having to crawl out of a mangled flaming wreck to wake me up.. But I have 2 beautiful little girls now, and can't imagine what i would have missed out on if I hadn't lived.. Plus I have been to enough funerals (due to car accidents) that I know the devistation and heartache left to those who love you..
Be safe man and if you aren't already signed up, think about joining your local SCCA.. That is what I have been doing for the past 10 years, and my family, and walllet have thanked me..
Peace~
