Does anyone know who makes the E36 "power adder" kit? Its a used M3 cam, and a Conforti chip for like $800. I found it the other night and cant remember where.

Also, since we're on the subject; Does anyone know how well aforementioned "power adder" kit will help my car, and would it be worth it. The kit would come after my CAI and exhuast, so factor that in.

Thanks, BIG "The one 'n only" TEX.

I don't know of the specific kit you mention but higher lifting cams are definitely a good option for getting more power from a NA engine. You may also want to look at getting a big bore throttle body and bigger fuel injectors - that way you will have a free flowing system all the way through.

Good luck with it - those are the mods I would like to start with if I ever save any cash.... Then twin screw supercharger ... hmmm ... power

EDIT: a quick google search turned up this:

Maybe it's not the one you were thinking of but...

Yeah big bore throttle body is on the mod list, the bigger injectors will be down the line when this isnt a comuter car anymore. lol

The 1993-1995 325 / 525 Power Kit is what I wanted.

Thanks man thats what I was lookin for.

I figured I'd add on to this thread instead of starting a new one.

Would this be worth buying? Keep in mind I have a 'vert, and I'd guess it could use a lil stiffin'n up.

Unless you drift your car, you won't need it, personally I don't get what that thing does. If you drift, get a cage. If you want stiffen up the car strut bars and a x-brace is enough. As for the cam's, if the car is your DD, you going to hate the fuel economy the cam's are going to get you. If you want a faster car, save your $$$ for e36 m3, I just don't get mod'ing a non e36 m3 engine wise.

Lol, so no to the floor bar. The cam/chip are a ways off, along with the big bore TB, ect. I just had to ask cause it was drivin me nuts.

You ever notice how M3 guys say buy an M3 and us 3xx guys say mod the hell outta it? Different strokes for different folks.

I'm not convinced by the intake with a chamber - I don't think that would do anything except restrict air flow.

The ITB's are definitely interesting though - wish there was some pictures. There was a guy on here who was developing a kit a while back. That thread went quiet when someone suggested just modifying the s52 intake. I wonder what happened to that project?

I brought it back up today.. lol Yeah that intake looks like they tried real hard and over worked it.
