My cars personality is kind of like a stubborn dog... normally friendly, and usually listens well when you tell it do something, but on random and rather regular basis, chooses to do whatever it wants whenever it wants no matter how hard you try...

Maintaining my car is sorta like trying to keep a pet hornet happy. She's noisey, high strung, and always looking for a fight.

I've been stung more times than I can remember yet wouldn't trade her for the world.

Mine is a little white tramp that enjoys herself most when her top is open. Ever since I put urethane RTABs in her she make a lot of noise when she's hot and I make her rear end go up and down, but at least her rear end goes where I want it to now....

I always refer to my old bitch as a German 5.0 Mustang ( have owned 2 of those) Keep in mind when ford made the 94 to ???? Mustang that they where aiming at the BMW 3 as Chevy knew thay could not come colse to eather and dropped out of the game. just as fast and handles just the same ( 150k on the struts and such) wags it tail on command, unless it's wet out then then it wags like a dog that has not seen its owner it 2 weeks.

Then again, I look at it somewhat like this:
You get married to the girl of your dreams (I've always wanted a 36) and it's great. Then times get tough (things start breaking) and you have to trudge through it (and wait to get the money to fix everything), but you know if you stick it out and treat her right (regular tuneups, even though your suspension should've been changed two years ago), while still taking care of yourself (not spending your life fixing it), things will turn out well.

...and heck, at least you can do a full frame-off resto on your car. You can pull it apart, find all of its flaws and fix them. There's not a chance in hell you can do that with a girlfriend...

I have a love/hate relationship with mine, somedays I am absolutely in love with the car, some days (more like periods of the day) I hate it. But at the end of the day, when I park it in the garage, I can't help but look back and smile. Never have I gone to sleep hating the car :)
