Gary,
I know that Bilstein Sport and Koni adjustables are the preferred shock for HR Sport springs on an 1991 318i e30, but what if you wanted a bit more compliant ride? Would Bilstein TC work? Or would the stiffer spring rate overtax the shocks?
Just looking for a middle ground that lowers the car but allows a more supple ride across sharp, inner-city pavement irregularities. At slow speeds Bilstein sports are absurdly rough; Koni's are better, but if I wanted an even more compliant ride? The roads in inner-city Portland, Oregon, are a symphony of broken pavement, shallow chuckholes, and uneven transitions.
The car: 1991 318i 4-door. All front end suspension bits and ball joints are new.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Gary
