The previous owner of my 1995 M3 (88,000 miles) always ran Penzoil 10-30 in the car.

He has a massive amount of documentation on the car and I think he took good care of it.

Would a switch to synthetic benefit the car alot? I run 10-30 mobile synthetic in my 1995 318ti.

Are there any flushing procedures you have to follow or dangerous pitfalls to circumvent?

It might if you use the correct weight of oil... It sure won't hurt anything...

I am a huge fan of synthetics.

Just drain and fill. Remember, most oil manufactuers now make synthetic blends, which are part synthetic and part conventional oil.

If you are truely anal, drain and fill, drive a week and repeat.
