SF Bay Area: how much you've paid for dealer profit when you leased your 335 coupe?

I am looking to lease a 08 or order a 09 335i coupe manual. The dealer (BMW Fremont) told me he can do $1000 over the cost. It sounds high to me as my friend got $500 over the cost but he was buying instead of leasing.

So this question is for SF bay area 335 coupe leasing owners: how much you've paid for dealer profit when you leased the car?

Did you friend also get a coupe or was it a sedan by any chance, plus maybe an auto to boot? That could explain the delta right there.

You are looking at for MT/335/coupe correct? I'll bet the dealer has only 1 or 2 of these. Why should they sell it at almost no profit when these are becoming scarce.
If you friend didn't also go to Fremont, why don't you try that dealership/CA?

Oh, sorry his car is actually a 135 coupe manual ordered in June so I don't have any deal to compare. I went to the same CA. It make sense the manual is so scarce right now and they are not letting it go easily.

135i is a completely different deal to a 335i - $1000 over is good on a 1 series manual I think.

So its just a case of supply and demand, and you are shopping in a very short supply market.
1k over cost actually sounds like a good deal on 08/E92/MT/335i at this point, assuming you can find one that suits your needs.

You can always wait for 09. Have you asked if the are willing to do the same 1K over cost on an order? I'm guess you could have it Nov/Dec. On the down side you won't get the finance/lease deals avail on 08 and there will certainly be a price increase. On the plus you can configure it exactly the way you want.
