im experiencing some annoyances with my navigation, its default and used to run on the old 2004 DVD and worked alright. I decided to purchase the newer version off of navteq and to my luck, my navigation went berserk before i got the new version. The DVD loads and the interface works but my coordinates and my positioning is messed, it says im in a lake, which seems to never end, and my car never adjusts itself. So my question is..
1) could an FM mod install have caused this problem?
2) Any quick fix?
Thanks in advance.

well did it work before you put the FM mod in and not after than that is the likely source

I had a problem with my 3 series Nav going wacko - never ended up in a lake, but showed car on wrong street etc.
Fixed by doing a "reboot" which, involved holding three buttons down at the same time (dvd eject, cd eject mute and volume/mute)
Don't know if the same applies for a 6, but worth a try....

so the 3 switch reset isnt a myth on the 6, but unfortunately it did not work.
