Hey whats up guys. I just picked my car up yesterday and I really need some nice plate frames now. Anyone ever order the painted frames from Bimmian? Do you think Alpine White frames would look good on an Alpine White car? I really wish those plates had 4 screw holes instead of 2 but I like the fact that they come with screw covers. Any ideas? Thanks!

I plan on ordering the painted plates from Bimmian. They can't look any worse then the plastic dealer plates I have now, and I don't like chrome ones. I think they would be great improvment on most plate frames especially on the front.

I like the chrome/silver frames but the ones I had on my last car got rusty after a few months. If I don't find anything today I'll order the ones from Bimmian.

i made my own painted ones. all i did was go to a dealership. any dealership that had the plastic frames w/o the raised lettering and had a good shape. the dealership even gave it me for free. sanded off the painted dealership letterings because they will show even when repainted. washed the frames. got 3 cans of paint: primer, basecoat (colour) and clearcoat. sprayed 1 layer of primer, 3 coats of basecoat and 3 layers of clearcoat. the basecoat doesn't have to be an exact match. just really close would be fine since they frame will most not sit at the exact angle of the body of the car so no one can tell that they are slightly off. real easy to do.

Look into the BMWCCA frames:

I have the BMW plain (now "BMW" or logo or anything) chrome frames, but I think black frames might look nicer on my new car... so if anyone's interested i can sell u my chrome ones and i'll get the black ones from BMWCCA... :)

How about a frame THAT DOESN'T RATTLE SO DAMN MUCH every time you close the trunk?!!! Only 2 screws is a BAD design.

What's the cure?

I hate the 2 screw design....when the dealer installed my plates with their plastic frame they attached the two rear plate screws but it warped the plate at the bottom where there should be but aren't the other two screws...Looks real bad in my opinion.:dunno:

Just received my Topaz Blue Metallic frames from Bimmian. Perfect match and with my magazine address added in aluminum! Yum...
