Ok, I am losing my patience. My '07 335i coupe, 12/06 build date, has just around 13K miles on it. I have had it for nearly 1.5 years, but have traveled extensively for work hence the low mileage. Anyway, throughout the first year of ownership I noticed the Engine Malfunction light came on a few scarce times when starting up and the engine would stutter, and when I restarted it would go away.
Recently within the last month or so, the engine started having the Engine Malfunction light come on more often with engine stutter, and then finally the Service Engine Soon light became illuminated.
I took it to the dealer at least twice, 3 days worth of repairs, while they tried to figure out the problem. Swapped a spark plug and coil because they found one piston misfiring. Then they found out it was a faulty fuel injector and said they replaced it.
The car ran ok for a few days. Then just last night, during a relatively cold startup at night, the Engine Malfunction light came on again during startup and I could feel the engine stuttering. Are they just not doing anything? I am so angry. No matter what they do now I will always be fearing the car will have an engine malfunction. Is there anything I can do? Can I lemon it?
