OK, so this is not only my first BMW, it's my first German car. I bought it from BMW SF over the weekend, paid $41750 + tax etc. MSRP was 45,600 (March 28 build date, so old pricing).
I was looking at '07 Coupes, but with the 0.9% financing it was actually cheaper to buy a new car vs. paying $36-38K for a used one.
Options include ZSP, ZPP, PDC, Heated Seats, Ipod, alum int. trim, and those damn $130 floor mats.
Oh yeah, it's a 6 speed manual trans!

My previous cars include an '07 WRX STI Limited, '05 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and a bunch of fast Mustangs and one bad 1996 Viper GTS.

Beautiful car. Welcome and congrats! After driving this car you're going to be ruined to all other makes.
Right on, enjoy!
BTW - you'll hopefully love the Hill Start Assist feature of DSC on those hills in SF... I know I do!

Nice! what happened to your 07 WRX?

The '07 WRX STI Limited was sold after 18 months. I was supposed to be living overseas and sold my Subie and my Lexus, but I returned much earlier than expected. Even after 18 months the STI Limited held it's value really well. Was an amazing car, handling/grip far surpasses the E90. But it still a Japanese econbox with associated (lack of) refinement.

Thanks, I just couldn't see buying an auto trans for this type of car. BTW, I can't seem to edit the original post with smaller res pics, so here they are

:wow: Nice car!
BMW isn't it?
Welcome to the club.
I thought owning a 3 series was required by law in San Francisco, there sure are a lot of them there.

are those rear park sensor (whatever they're called) on your bumper there?? I WANTED that but the dealer couldn't find it with the configuration I wanted!

Yes, my car has PDC "Park Distance Control", its pretty cool, when backing up it starts to beep, the closer I get to an object (bumper) the faster it beeps.
And that Hill Assist feature is AWESOME.

Looks like your right tailpipe is hanging about 1/2" to 1" lower than the left. Might want to get that tucked at your next service :)

P.s. Beautiful car and great level of equipment. That's going to be an enthusiasts choice for sure when you decide to sell, if you do private party.

hey nice ride. I am looking to get a 335xi also.I just spoke to my BMW dealer. He said the .9% financing is a balloon style financing for 5years and at the end you pay the left over.Is that what you have?
seanl

No, I have a standard 60mo. note. There is no balloon payment. I calculated my payment before buying the car and BMW FS came back a few dollars under.

Your dealer must have just gotten off his crack pipe when he told you that. :eeps: :tsk:

I financed my new 335 on July 14 with BMW FS at 0.9% for 60 mos. It is a standard note, no balloon payment. No early prepayment penalty either. I read through all the fine print again just the other day ....

There was never any doubt that my first BMW had to be a manual trans car. Sure, it sucks in Bay Area traffic, but I'd rather deal with that than NOT have a manual when it's time to have fun!
thanks again everyone for the warm welcome
