Sad day as I need to sell my 2005 545i BMW. 29,500 miles. Black on black with sport package including 19" rims and new run-flat tires. 6-speed manual transmission makes this a great drivers car. Has transferable BMW pre-owned warranty good up until 100,000 miles or 6 years from original sold date.
Loaded car. High end stereo option, 6-disc in the glove compartment, Heated seats and steering wheel, NAV, Sirius radio and on and on and on.
My loss...but hopefully it goes to someone who can appreciate it as much as I have. Cash is tight for various reasons, so this has to go. Back to driving my 2004 Dodge Ram pickup.
Located in Fairfield County, CT.
$35,000

Wow....first off, beautiful home in the background (I love stone fences and retaining walls and such).
Second, I love those 545's with the 6-speed. I haven't seen a review on them yet, but it just seems like it's got to be fun :)
Good luck with your sale!

Thanks for the compliment on the house. Been doing a bunch to it (walls and landscaping). Hence the need for cash liquidity.
Be well.

Solid car, looks nice, low mileage and 6 spd surely needs an enthusiast but that price is too high. I think you have to be closer to 30k to get some real interest. I am telling from experience of selling a 545. Currently 2007s 550s are moving at 35-37k at auction, that means you can pick one up at a dealer around 40k and the dealer will be able to get you financed. There are very few people that have that much cash these days. Give it a few weeks and see if you get any bites, consider it lucky if you do, otherwise price will get em coming. Be ware of retards with low ball offers of cash, waste of time. I would suggest to put it on craigslist and autotrader, plus vehix and cars.com. Good luck.

I appreciate the advice. The market is what the market is, can't deny that.
I am flexible for a clean quick sale...but if this goes to $30, maybe I'll think about selling the Dodge Ram and keeping this. Both paid for....but the market for pickups is worse than the high-end cars.
Such is life.

You are close enough to Greenwich and Stamford so you are actually in a good location to sell a luxury car, do a lot of advertising and hopefully you catch a good buyer.

are you the first owner? how long have you had the car?

Car is in excellent shape an no accidents.
I am the second owner. I purchased it in November 2006 from BMW of Bridgeport with 12k miles on it. It was a early lease return from an executive who was relocated. I happen to be there when the car was brought in after the one I went to see was already gone.
It will hit 30k on my drive home yesterday. I took it to work to show someone in Shelton, CT the car yesterday.
It is fully loaded (sport package, 19" rims, Nav, awesome stereo, etc) with a 6-speed manual transmission. It is unmodified...no aftermarket stuff done to it.
It is a CPO vehicle and carries the BMW certified pre-owned warranty that is transferrable if I sell it to a private buyer. It will be 2-years from the end of the manufacturers warranty. I haven't calculated it, but that will be towards the end of 2010, so 2 good years left.

I looked up the carfax report on my car today to get more details on the warranty. The car was purchased on 1/7/05 by the first owner, so the manufacturers warranty is good until 1/7/09, and then the certified pre-owned warranty kicks in until 1/7/11 (or 100k miles).
That's 2.5 years of remaining coverage.

Can you please PM me with list of options and best possible price? I am somewhat interested

OK, I want to move this car. The process of PM'ing and meeting people who tirekick is getting tiring.
First $30k offer that comes to meet me in CT during business hours with a bank check drives the car home. This is a great deal considering it has a factory warranty until 1/7/09 and a 2 year CPO warranty after that.
PM me if interested. I'll have the car in Westport, CT tomorrow.

Does it have the premium seating?

I'm not totally sure what premium seating entails, but this car is full leather, heated seats, power drivers and passenger, ski pass through to the truck through a fold-down center seat console that has storage and cupholders, etc. A very complete interior package. Heck, it even has a heated steering wheel!

Premium seating is the seats from the 7. The ones that have the funky headrests that kind of fold around your head and another adjustment in the middle of the seat back.
Sounds like a really nice car but, after sitting in one with those seats they are pretty much a must for me now.:)

Never heard of premium seating.... I had a 545 before and I do not think there ever was such a seat in the 5 series other than sport or nonsport seats.

I don't want to go way OT in this guys for sale thread. These are the seats I'm talking about. If this car has them I'm very interested. If it has them and they are ventilated it's sold.:) Although I can already tell from the pic they are not ventilated.
