Hey all, just have a few slight doubts about the break in period of new tires. I was having some issues with my '03 325i (alignment off, uneven wear on rear tires, vibration of the steering wheel at speeds above 90 mph) so I decided to swap the front and rear brake pads out. Replaced both front and rears with EBC's, and found that they were completely worn down. Afterward, took the car to NTB for an alignment and decided that since I was there might as well buy a set of rear tires and have them mounted on. We decided on Michelin Primacy MXV4s.

I've put about 150 miles on the set of tires and they're currently running at the recommended pressures. My problem with them is that through a corner or bend, when I apply throttle, instead of the car simply under steering, I literally feel the tires slipping. If DSC is on, the light goes off as to prevent slippage. The car almost chokes up and the wheels continue to struggle. This is absolutely driving me nuts as giving the car power through a bend is why I bought a RWD based car! I'm pretty sure there exists some sort of coating on new tires to help in the preservation of them and what not, but I was simply curious as to whether NTB could have simply mounted them incorrectly on the wheel, or I've got to give it a few hundred more miles for them to break in...Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy!

Thanks, and sorry for the long winded post!

You've mixed different tire tread patterns front and rear.... until you get a matched set the handling will not be good even after break-in.
