Can anyone share with me their experience on pairing the Blackberry Curve 8310 with X3's BT? My phone found the X3 but it's not recognizing the code I'm entering. I tried keying in the code by simply pressing the numbers as well as pressing 'alt' before I press each number but it continues to give me the error msg of unable to pair.... The dealer tried his phone and it paired and told me it's my phone. I just wanted to see if anyone has a remedy before I call AT&T.

I have had no issue with the exact same setup. However! in my 05 the dealer had to change the bluetooth module based on a recall or service bulletin. The new unit had a different code but the card that was with the manual had the old unit's code printed on it. I did write the new code on the card with a brief explanation. I guess you can try to pair another phone and verify that the code is correct.

My wife uses her Curve with her 2006 X3 and it's never had a problem pairing or working.
Actually works a lot better than her old Razr did with BT.

The dealer did pair with a motorola phone with the same code printed on the laminated card, so I know the code is still correct.
Sans Nil, did your wife simply press the numbers on her phone or did she have to press 'alt' before each number?

I believe she had to hit ALT then the corresponding number digit.
It can be tricky that way sometimes.
I know on my Treo you can 'lock' the alt key down if you press it twice so it will for sure key in the numbers. I don't know if the Curve has the same sort of thing but I'm guess it does.

worked fine for me. make sure you have the correct code - there's also a sticker on the bluetooth module (panel where the CD changer/nav disk is to the left in the cargo area)

Nav is not necessary, but PP usually is. The following is correct only for the US:
The MY2004 cars with Premium Pkg said they had BT, but it didn't work.
The MY2005 cars (and later) with either the Premium Pkg or the BT option alone had functioning BT.
There were a very few MY2005 cars (all with Sept 04 assembly dates IIRC) that still had the non-functioning BT.
So...with the exception of a few odd cases, you need MY2005 or later and the Premium Pkg. (One of the odd cases was my former 2004; I upgraded the TCU to the MY05 version.)
(This generally doesn't apply outside the US, as the Premium Pkg was US-specific.)
