V1 or S2

I really want to get a radar detector, i do a lot of traveling on rt 42 (for anybody in NJ, they know it is notorious to be absolutley packed with state troopers) so it'll be worth it. I've narrowed it down to the V1 and the escort solo s2. I am not afraid to do the hardwiring but it seems like the cordless S2 is just as powerful without all the extra wire work. Does anybody have any experiences with both ? Any thoughts at all? thanks

I've been searching, can't find anything on the S2 on here but everything i read elsewhere says its very comparible to the v1....

I also live in NJ and have had a V1 for 6 years now. It is by far the best purchase I have ever made. However, no radar is perfect so you still need to drive with care and stay alert to the places that you might assume cops to be hiding. Any of the well known radar detectors will be fine but I like the V1 for the arrows. Many see it as a gimmick, but I think it is useful. Anyway, good luck.
