......I'm guessing he has a set of aftermarket wheels on. Ask for some close-up photos of the inside of the wheel. Look for the original markings......Phil

Sometimes you have to go with your instinct......wait it out and get yourself of set of style 249's :bigpimp:.....it's a better looking wheel IMO. But then again, I might be somewhat biased .......Phl

those wheels are original but still they're 19's and look shabby. as 20's the look like they belong on the 6:)

If they are true M6 wheels, each wheel should have an "M" logo on one spoke near the BMW roundel.

those prob. do. hard to tell from the pics, but they are only glued on and have a tendancy to fall off
EDIT: they do have the M logo on them

If they are 18", they are fakes.
I'd keep an eye out for a real set of 19's, deals popup rather often.
Just say no to fakes :thumbdwn: Would you wear a replica watch?

gene is right, if they are 18s they're not original. fake is not the proper terminology, replica/aftermarket is! original M6 wheels are 19's. However, wheels and watches are a little different gene. Just bc u only buy original products does NOT mean replica wheels are inferior. if Asanti made replica M6 wheels would you say they are of less quality? i doubt that.
Ur trend to talk down anything that's not original or people that don't use original parts is really starting to become a bother. If you don't agree with it then fine, but keep your negative comments to yourself especially as a mod. if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all:)
Besides there are no "original" 20 M6 wheels and i don't know how often i have to go through this with you. I love the 20's. 19's just look like little toy car wheels on the 6.

It's nothing personal, but simply a personal opinion. Fake or "replica" is not my style.
FWIW: Asanti is not a valid analogy, I haven't seen a set I would buy.
I don't care what you do... it's your money to spend as you please. for me, it's always going to be the real deal.
There is no talking down taking place, just another forum member posting their opinion.

I understand your point although I don't share it. However, your comments a lot of the times, even if not intended, come across as insulting and as if you were looking down upon those that do use replica parts. It is hard to really get a feel for a comment made on a forum but that's just my opinion/observation and maybe that should be something to consider in the future:)

LOL - don't you know that if you put the badge on, you get the same HP output as the M6? It's all about the "stickas"!!!
