i just purchased my 05 x3 and was wondering is it possible to rerofit a set of auto heater controls in it.
I'm sure all the plugs and stuff are probably the same for either one but what else would be involved :dunno: would i need a trip to the dealer after everything is done?
thanks Matt

So right now you have the manual climate control, and want to upgrade to automatic? Probably very costly and complicated, if possible at all.

I'd get the wiring diagrams first. Don't assume your car has the correct wiring harness.

I took a quick look at realoem.com and there is at least one different wiring set.

I'm sure your car is missing some items besides the control panel. For example, automatic AC cars have a sun sensor on the dash. When the sun is shining down on the passengers, the AC runs colder.
