View Full Version : Eibach springs not even
Hey guys so I thought it would give it a week till springs settle to make a comment. The eibach springs on my car is still very uneven. The driver side of the car seems to be lower than the passenger side for both front and rear. Also, the drop for the front is really good I can only fit a finger in there but the back I can fit about 3 and a half fingers, which is still incredibly high.
Im waiting another week till i bring it in for alignment but would that fix the height issues? I thnk shurlog had problems too but it wasnt the height but rather the distance from wheel to fender.

until you get the alignment done you won't be able to tell how the car sits as the wheels are off by quite a bit. i first thought they completely screwed up the installation of the springs when i saw it but then after the alignment your ride should look just like mine.. nice and even allway around. Also, the drivers side will always sit a little lower than the passenger side.

Why's that Shulrog? I've never noticed the drivers side lower with my stock springs.

Interesting. I'm rather curious about this, too.

thanks for the reply, isnt my problem different from your problem? yours wasnt a height problem was it?
and I knew one side of bmw's were intentionally lower but I thought it was the passenger side because its to balance out the car when a driver gets in the car?

I don't know about eibachs, but when I had my H&R's put in. The car sat perfectly even on all for. And I didn't need an aligment at all? You might wanna double check if the springs are installed properly.

+1 They may not be seated correctly. Either spring on one side could throw that side off.
I've read this before over the years, it generally points to a installation issue.
Maybe have the installer take another look? Please update this thread when you determine the issue.

mine "looked" like they were installed wrong but after alignment looked great. Can you post some pics?
thanks guys, so should i go in the for alignment first to see if it fixed the problem or go back to the installer to get it checked out?

Measure on a flat surface. If they are considerably wrong, I'd get them fixed before any alignment work.

thanks, so even before an alignment, they should all be even if the car is on a flat surface? Because then there is a problem because my driveway is a flat surface and they are not even...
