To be fair it's hard to say whether or not the driver did something stupid without more information.

The latest issue of BMW magazine has a whole article on how well various BMW's held up in crashes.

"Well after already being turned away at a road block by police due to flood conditions, this crazy woman, god bless her un-living soul, comes hauling down the road attempting to defy this South African flood."


I would say shes insane or stupid for trying to drive through a flood like that and no vehicle would stand up to a flood that tore that x3 up that bad. You know the cops blocked the road for a reason.

Awe....c'mon, she's driving (or was) an AWD vehicle that should NEVER have a problem in any road conditions, so why not try to cross a flooded river/stream. :thumbdwn: Some people will never learn until it's too late.
It's amazing that the car has NO salvageable parts, and dirt and rocks in every nook and cranny. Just goes to show you the absolute power that a flooded stream has. And what is the rearview mirror attached to? It seems to be floating in midair.
