I'm interested in the Original Owner Protection Warranty for my 2006 550. There is a good chance I will sell it and I would like this as a selling point.

I am however curious how long after I purchase this warranty do I have to keep the car before I can sell it?

Also, any recommendations on where to purchase it?

http://www.twinkidneygrill.com/2OP.html - this is a BMW dealer, but which one escapes me. I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think there's any time requirement between buying the warranty and selling the car. It's a little pricey ($3375); you might want to offer to buy it for the new owner as an incentive, but at additional cost to them.

I don't think it's Global anymore. The guy who has Twin Kidney changed dealerships a while back and the business is now out of his new dealership.

A friend recently sold his E46 325Xi and said he had been quoted $1,300 for an extended warranty (which I assumed was the OOPP) by his dealer
