bmw salesperson... how much gas do new cars come with

when they arrive at the port? quarter tank?

also, it was always my understanding that when you drive off in your new car the full tank of gas was an expense the manufactuer took... but from reading here its the dealer's expense?

Maybe like 30-50 miles worth of fuel. Enough to do the pre-delivery inspection. The it's the center expense to put fuel in the car.

some manufacturers pay the dealer for the gas as part of the PDI... but BMW does not reimburse dealers for gas, it is 100% on the dealer.

the car comes in with very little gas, some have 20-30 miles of range and some are running on fumes.
