Very Cool Rip . . . so far with my 2 days of driving with these tires, I think they are 100 times better then my Contisports which I guess isn't saying much since the Contisports kinda suck anyway :)

But seriously, I notice a lot more road feel, the ride is very comfortable, they are quiet, tramlining is slight but nothing compared to the Pilots I used to have and the handling feels great.

Plus doesn't Yokohama have the 30 day return policy if your not happy with them ?

Congrats and let me know what you think of them when you get them

Between ODb's comments and your first reaction, that was enough to convince me  I'll give them a good test at the "Mt.Rainier Speedway" when I get them. :p

I don't think the reason to buy these tires should only be because of price . . . I think it really depends on your driving priorites . . .

I wanted a tire that
- handled well
- very good in the rain
- Comfortable
- doesn't tramline too much

That is the reason i got the ES100's

I did not want the ultimate grip the SO3 or Kumho MX's (which are also a bargain BTW) offered because I know I would pay the price for it on my other priorities . . . especially the tramlining part . . .

The fact that the Yokohama is priced so well is a side benefit

How do these compare to the SO3's you had on recently?

BTW, Khumo had too many defective tire reports for my liking. :tsk:

I haven't had either one long enough to report with any credibility . . . I only had the SO3's for a couple of weeks but I can tell you that in that time they tramlined liked crazy but stuck like I was glued to the road . . .

Got em on the car yesterday AF330i. A significant difference in handling from the Conti's...still going thru a break in period with them before I hit the corners hard but so far I'm all grins

Okay, got a few more miles on them. I'm guessing that tramlining and grip go hand in hand...these don't tram that much, but more than the Conti's did. I have been running them with 35/38 Front and rear air pressure...but the grip is astounding on corners! When I lowered the pressure to 32.5 for both front and rear, they rode really smooth, couldn't detect the tramlining. I think I'll keep them at 33/35 front rear as a medium.
