For Sale:
2001 BMW M5 - Titanium Silver w/ black leather sport interior. 91,+++ miles.
First off thanks for looking - I am unfortunately selling my 2001 BMW M5 - this car is truly in amazing condition with ALL major and minor services completed and 100% stock. The M5 has been in my family since day 1. First being owned by my father who is a surgeon and then second by myself. That car been garaged since day 1 and has ALWAYS been serviced by Competition Imports of Smithtown, NY located on Long Island - a full service history is available. You would hard pressed to find another M5 in this condition with a 1 family history and full DEALER performed service history. Over 13k has been spent keeping this M5 in perfect condition
Aside from the adhering to the BMW service schedule the car has also had the follow services performed within' the last 5000 miles.
- New Clutch
- New front rotors and brake pads
- De-carbonization of the Heads (Carbon Build Up): For those of you not familiar with this issue it is when the heads accumulate hardened carbon on the cylinder heads thus setting off the SES sensors, this can only rectified correctly by dropping the motor, pulling the heads and having a full de-carbonization service done. Cost of this service: $8000+. If you have an 2000-2003 M5 and haven't had to deal with yet, you will. The entire top end of the engine was gone through as to make sure everything else was in spec. This was MAJOR service.
- New front struts & mounts and replaced front sway bar bushings
- New front rotors / brake pads, rear brake pads and rear brake LINES
- New Michelin PS2s all around
- New interior climate control fan relay
- New rear ball joints
- New rear main seal, throw-out bearing
The interior of this car show virtually no signs of wear due to the fact that no one has ever sat anyplace but the drivers seat.
Again, I have every piece of paperwork and service documentation from day one of ownership, this an unbelievably clean car that will provide the new owner with years of enjoyment.
