I'm not familiar with BMW USA's policies on new MY rollouts, but the 2009 X3 configurator has been running on the German mother-site (www.bmw.de) for several days now.
Does anyone know when the 2009 rollout will occur in the US? I'm eager to configure my new X3! (and do so in English, which I can actually read!)

BMW.de is always up-to-date with the latest models. BMW USA isn't close when it comes to detail and up-to-date info; I never even use it. If it must be in English, use www.bmw.co.uk

This is so true. For one thing, the US website quotes all headroom measurments as those for a car without a sunroof when all the BMW cars sold in the US except M models, have a sunroof as standard. Remarkably, the X3 is the only car where they give both measurments for sunroof and without.

Thanks, guys. I feel silly for not thinking of the UK site. Of course, they're still showing 2008 too (at least the 2008 colors). But I'll keep watching it and see if it gets updated before the US site.

Their model years are not like our model years IIRC. For instance, the E90 came out as a 2005 model for them.
