Rumor is that the new X3 gets two new engines. New 3.0-liter I-6 turbodiesel engine in conjunction with the dual-clutch transmission. And a new 3.0-liter turbo L6 gasoline engine producing 326hp.

BMW has been testing the new X3 for a while now and we expect to see it soon without the camouflage either on a major car show or perhaps doing some more tests without the annoying black and white disguise.

That new body style really dosent appeal to me personally. The back of it I dont like too much, but I think the new headlights are pretty cool. Overall, i'm glad that I am getting the 09'.:D

How come these prototype pics look larger to me than the last ones? I want the X3 to stay basically the same size as the current car.

Many of the so-called X3 spy photos were photos of something else. I'd guess the X1.


I want the X3 to stay basically the same size as the current car.

The next X3 is going to be larger than the current one. Most likely slightly larger than the current 3 series wagon.

I'm hoping I get the word that mine is in production soon. I think the wait is going to kill me!!!! I feel your pain:(. I'm going to call my salespeson today to ask when production starts and hopefully get a tracking number. I don't think I can wait until mid to the end of September.:eek:

My guy told me they are supposed to start Monday. I'm sure I'll feel better when I know it's in the works. I'll post back when I hear something.

I just called my salesperson today and he said they are starting next week as well. He said that mine will be one of the first made, but it's not going to be at the dealer until the first week of October. I think i'm going to go insane waiting for one more month.:mad:

But, I have a quick question for anybody who has ordered an X3 before. Is there anyway I can attain a tracking number for my X3 so I can have an idea on how progress is going on it? Somebody who ordered a BMW before told me you can but I don't know how.:dunno:
