I don't see a problem with asking that much...it he ask 8K then he will get about that or less...asking 16...he might end up with a lot more...one thing in selling that you should always remember...never try and guess what the buyer is thinking

Local market value also plays a large part in determining the asking price. Here in Calgary he could get even more ($18-$19k). I agree it's crazy, but that price would be considered normal here.
