Hi new to the site & have a problem

Hey people, just became a member and i was wondering if anybody could help me with a problem.

I've got a 325i drop top and when i bought the car two weeks ago i made sure that the roof was working. The guy i bought it off even said that if i go to have a look at other to make sure i check the roof as we watched it fold away and go down.

i got the car cheaper because i had to change the passenger widow motor, headunit and get my own roadworthy which wasn't a problem and i did it all within a week.
(i know a thing or two about cars)

but now my roof wont go down! :cry:

i undo the main handle and when i push the button it starts to go about a couple of cm back then makes like a clucking sound like something is jamming the motor? but i know that the guy who had it had changed them about 3years ago!

i just wanna cruise with the top down! :mad:

You might try and use the search feature, and be sure to search in your car year ...it can help a lot..welcome to the site

Welcome to the site, Sami. Yes, do a search on this forum about the roof. The problem is well documented on here. The guys have written at lenght about it.

That's about as much as I can help you. I gave up on my roof a while back. It is too delicate. I have been looking to buy a hardtop for my car for some time now.

hey thanks lil magan, i didnt know you guys had write ups to stuff like that il give it a go! nah no giving up on mine!!! i've had the car for two weeks and with summer coming up (in australia) i have to get it working... already missed out on a lovely day today :(
