Hi, i just baught a 86 325es and it wil not run. I am new to beamers all together but i have been working on cars for a while. They just seem to be a totally differant breed. I have searched many times and cannot find any threads pertaining to my problem. The Problem..... The engine cranks over fine but will not fire up. I have checked for spark by pulling a plug out and grounding it out and theres no spark. Then i checked for power at the coil and theres none at the coil when the key is on or when its cranking over. I then did an inslation breakdown test of the coil and it passed. I have a wiring diagram but it is not the best. By the look of it from the wiring diagram the ignition system looks like it is transistorized. So it should have power at the coil all the time and it controls when to sent power by controlling the ground by the computer. Hopefully some one has had this problem before.
