hey all
i just installed new HID lamps on my BMW 535 E34 but the: "DIP BEAM" is showing on my dashboard, is there any cure for it, please I'll be very grateful.

Looks like a 55W bulb on a 13.8V system would have about 3.47 ohms of resistance. Measure what the balasts show and order a resistor that will make up the difference. Make sure it is rated to handle the amount of heat it will generate and is mounted somewhere it will not burn things (one of the sites below recomends 1-4 ohm 1watt resistors).

yeah there was a link on bimmerboard to a german writeup on modding the CCM.

unfortunately the pdf is framed, so no direct links, and locked so it can't be saved, and I don't speak German...

Otherwise another A/e DIY Writeup would have already ensued.
